The City of Lexington will hold it's annual spring cleanup starting May 1, 2021 through May 10, 2021. Please see the description below for more information.
City-Wide Spring Cleanup
Citizens must show proof of residency within the city limits of Lexington by showing
state issued ID or city utility bill to participate.
May 1 – May 10, 2021
Household and Bulky Waste
City residents are encouraged to place extra trash for pickup in bags at curbside.
Stickers must be purchased at City Hall for $1.00 each and must be placed on each bag. One (1) large item is allowed at curbside at no charge.
Curbside trash pickup will be on the normally scheduled day.
Dumpsters will be located at Public Works—24th and Monroe Streets
for bulky waste items as well as yard waste. Large appliance items and concrete/bricks
will also be accepted at a designated area on site.
Hours of collection will be 7 am to 5 pm each day
Hazardous waste (tires, batteries, chemicals, paint, oil and asbestos)
will not be accepted at the Public Works Building.
Jobe’s Auto Care will collect tires, waste motor oil and batteries.
Located at 822 S. Business Hwy 13. There is a $2.00 fee for each tire.
