Lexington's Street Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing Lexington's streets and for snow removal during the winter season. In addition, the Street Department provides a bulky trash drop off dumpster, a yard waste dumpster, scrap metal dumpster, and limited collection of hazardous materials, such as oil-based paint and fluorescent bulbs. Tree limbs much be less than 4 inches in diameter. Leaves must be placed in paper bags. Residents desiring to drop-off bulky trash or white goods, must first buy a permit from City Hall.
