Street Department

Lexington's Street Department is responsible for maintaining and repairing Lexington's streets and for snow removal during the winter season.  In addition, the Street Department provides a bulky trash drop off dumpster, a yard waste dumpster, scrap metal dumpster, and limited collection of hazardous materials, such as oil-based paint and fluorescent bulbs.  Tree limbs much be less than 4 inches in diameter.  Leaves must be placed in paper bags.  Residents desiring to drop-off bulky trash or white goods, must first buy a permit from City Hall. 

Residents desiring to depose of hazardous materials must FIRST make an appointment and VERIFY that the Street Department accepts the material.  Please call City Hall 660-259-4633 or email the Street Department at [email protected]

The City of Lexington is a member of the Missouri One Call System.

If you will be doing any construction or digging on your property be sure to call 1-800-DIG-RITE, prior to beginning your project. Missouri One Call will then contact all utility companies so that their lines can be clearly marked.
