Mayor David Goodloe
David Goodloe was elected as Lexington's Mayor on April 5, 2022. Mayor Goodloe brings a great deal experience from both the government and private sector to his new position as mayor.  Mayor Goodloe served as the building official in both Higginsville and Warrensburg for many years.  In addition, from 1990 to 1995 Mayor Goodloe was Lafayette County's Planning and Zoning Administrator and prior to that Mayor Goodloe operated his own construction company for 20 years. 

In addition, Mayor Goodloe served two terms on Lexington's City Council from 1987 to 1995.  Mayor Goodloe also served as Chair of Lexington's Planning and Zoning Commission for six years.  During his tenue on P&Z, Mayor Goodloe helped update and re-codify the City's Master Plan.  Other community activities include Chair of Lexington's Public Improvement Committee, council representative to the Missouri Municipal League and many other local civic groups.  For example, Mayor Goodloe was president of the Lexington Community Better Association for two years.
